MEET YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND
This is a personal project that began to spotlight senior animals available for adoption. When I helped my parents find their 3-year-old rescue, I was moved by the special notes on the cages indicating long-stay or senior animals who had been waiting months for homes. “Meet Your New Best Friend” has expanded to feature all types of adoptable animals—from senior dogs like 10-year-old Coco to 3-month-old puppies like Cornbread.
Six-year-old Ali’i Kai whose name means “Queen of the Sea.”
Helen, a long-time volunteer, said if her dog were open to another Ali’i Kai would have already found her furever home.
Chuck, a 4-year-old German wire-haired pointer.
He’s an affectionate guy who isn’t afraid to show you how much he cares.
Coco, a 10-year-old lovable senior lady. She loves belly rubs and snacks.
Four-year-old Jack.
Cornbread, a 3-month-old terrier and pit bull puppy.
A variety of small animals are also available for adoption, including bunnies, guinea pigs, and even a tortoise.
Just like dogs, there are many adorable cats available at both Humane Society locations.
We met 4 new striped friends that looked identical. These friends are either Zack, Biscuit, Kira, or Lacy.
Reggie was the longest tenured animal at the Humane Society. Happy to report he has been adopted.
